George W. Shay, son of William and Elizabeth Shay was born at Columbus, Ind on Sept 25, 1851 and died Aug 31, 1923. His home for the past 35 years has been in Indianapolis. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Boyd, where he has been ill for the past 8 months. Another daughter, Mrs. C.M. Mooney of Terre Haute and a son, LB Shay of Winter Haven, Fla. survive him. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday morning at 9, conducted by Rev. Mr. Malcolm of Russellville and at Livingston, Ill, ME Church at 2 p.m., Rev. DT Black officiating. Interment at Livingston Cemetery. -- kbz
